1. (1) Each police service canine team shall be initially certified and annually recertified by POST or a qualifying canine certifying entity.
2. (2) It is not the intent nor legal purpose of these minimum standards to be exhaustive on this subject.

This rule provides minimum standards for training, certifying, and recertifying patrol and SWAT police service canine teams.
