1. (1) Each law enforcement agency in the state shall provide information regarding the following cold case types to the division for inclusion in the database:

   1. (a) unresolved homicide; or
   2. (b) missing person.

2. (2) The following information is required, when available, in order for a cold case to be included in the database:

   1. (a) the victim's:

      1. (i) name;
      2. (ii) gender;
      3. (iii) race;
      4. (iv) ethnicity; and
      5. (v) date of birth;
   2. (b) ViCAP number, if the case has been entered into the ViCAP system;
   3. (c) NCMEC number if the case has been entered into the NCMEC system;
   4. (d) whether the case was entered into the NAMUS system;
   5. (e) NCIC number if entered into the NCIC system;
   6. (f) Medical Examiner case number;
   7. (g) whether probative, unanalyzed suspect reference DNA is available;

   8. (h) whether a probative, crime scene DNA profile from the putative perpetrator has been uploaded to CODIS;

      1. (i) whether reference DNA from the victim is available;
   9. (j) State Bureau of Forensic Services case number;

   10. (k) name of agency referring the case;

       1. (l) investigating agency contact number;
   11. (m) date case entered into the database;
   12. (n) agency case number;
   13. (o) whether the victim was a juvenile or adult victim at the time the crime occurred;
   14. (p) date crime was reported to investigating agency;
   15. (q) date or approximate date the victim was last seen;
   16. (r) date or approximate date of death;
   17. (s) cause or manner of death;
   18. (t) location body was found if a body was found;

   19. (u) whether a weapon was used, and the type of weapon used if applicable;

       1. (v) whether the following evidence is available:
       2. (i) fingerprints
       3. (ii) palm prints;
       4. (iii) latent prints;
       5. (iv) dental records;
       6. (vi) shell casings; or
       7. (v) other physical evidence;

   20. (w) scars, marks and tattoos;

       1. (x) whether a suspect or person of interest has been identified;
   21. (y) date case solved; and
   22. (z) case narrative.

3. (2) The following information may be entered into the database at the discretion of the investigating agency for a cold case:

   1. (a) associated information which may include the following:

      1. (i) vehicle information;
      2. (ii) nickname or moniker;
      3. (iii) associated case addresses;
      4. (iv) associated phone numbers;
      5. (v) associated names
   2. (b) case photos or composite drawings at the discretion of the investigating agency; and
   3. (c) other details as determined by law enforcement agency.
