1. (1) The committee shall:

   1. (a) review timely applications submitted by first responder agencies;
   2. (b) prioritize grant funding as required under Subsection 53-21-103(6); and
   3. (c) approve funding awards for first responder agencies that have submitted completed applications that meet the requirements under Section 53-21-103.

2. (2) The committee shall notify each first responder agency that applied for grant funding of:

   1. (a) the approval or denial of the application for funding; and
   2. (b) the amount of funding that will be made available to first responder agency.
3. (3) An agency awarded grant funding shall ensure that mental health resources are made available within 60 days of receipt of grant funding to first responders, family members of first responders, retired or separated first responders, and spouses of retired or separated first responders.
