1. (1) A handgun used to take big game may not have an attachment capable of electronic function, other than illuminated reticles.

2. (2) A handgun may be used to take deer and pronghorn, provided the handgun:

   1. (a) is a minimum of .24 caliber;
   2. (b) fires a centerfire cartridge with an expanding bullet; and
   3. (c) develops 500 foot-pounds of energy at the muzzle.

3. (3) A handgun may be used to take elk, moose, bison, bighorn sheep, and Rocky Mountain goat, provided the handgun:

   1. (a) is a minimum of .24 caliber;
   2. (b) fires a centerfire cartridge with an expanding bullet; and
   3. (c) develops 500 foot-pounds of energy at 100 yards.
