1. (1) One sportsman permit is offered to residents through a drawing for each of the following species:

   1. (a) desert bighorn (ram);
   2. (b) bison (hunter's choice);
   3. (c) buck deer;
   4. (d) bull elk;
   5. (e) Rocky Mountain bighorn (ram);
   6. (f) mountain goat (hunter's choice);
   7. (g) bull moose;

   8. (h) buck pronghorn;

      1. (i) black bear; and
   9. (j) wild turkey.

2. (2) The following information on sportsman permits is provided in the guidebooks of the Wildlife Board for taking protected wildlife:

   1. (a) hunt dates;
   2. (b) open units or hunt areas;
   3. (c) application procedures;
   4. (d) fees; and
   5. (e) deadlines.
3. (3) A person must possess or obtain a current Utah hunting or combination license to apply for or obtain a sportsman permit.
