1. (1) Bear may not be taken with a trap, snare or any other trapping device, except as authorized by the division.
2. (2) Bear accidentally caught in any trapping device must be released unharmed.

3. (3)(a) Authorization must be obtained from a division representative to remove the carcass of a bear from any trapping device.

   1. (b) The carcass shall remain the property of Utah and must be surrendered to the division.
