1. (1) The director may issue a grant to an applicant to fund a project for the study, design, or construction of seismic resiliency improvements to aqueducts crossing the Wasatch Fault Zone.

2. (2) To be eligible for a grant award, a project must propose seismic improvements to an aqueduct which:

   1. (a) crosses the Wasatch Fault Zone; and
   2. (b) delivers culinary water to a minimum of 20,000 people.

3. (3) Subject to the other provisions of this rule, a grant may not exceed the following amounts for the costs associated with the project:

   1. (a) 75% of the total study or design costs of a project; or
   2. (b) 50% of the total construction costs of a project.
