1. (1) An advertisement may not state or imply a preferred status in an advertisement unless the insurance policy provides the advertised renewal rate for:

   1. (a) prospective insureds becoming group or quasi-group members covered under a group policy; or
   2. (b) prospective insureds receiving special rates or underwriting under the group policy.

2. (2) When sold on an individual basis at regular rates, an advertisement may not solicit a particular class, such as governmental employees, by stating or implying that an occupational status entitles the member to a reduced rate for:

   1. (a) a group; or
   2. (b) another basis.
