1. (1) This rule is authorized by Section 26B-2-104.

2. (2)(a) This rule establishes standards for the licensure of foster parents for children in the custody of the Department of Health and Human Services.

   1. (b) This rule establishes standards for child-placing foster care agencies to utilize in the certification of foster parents to provide foster care.
   2. (c) This rule establishes compliance standards for licensed and certified foster parents.
   3. (d) This rule supplements Rules R501-1, R380-80, and R380-600 that apply to foster care services.
