(1)(a) The office and each local ombudsman entity shall develop a plan to assist each resident of a long-term care facility in the event of an emergency.
(b) The plan shall include:
- (i) coordinating activities and developing emergency preparedness plans relevant to a particular service area;
- (ii) information sharing;
- (iii) resource sharing;
- (iv) training;
- (v) participating in simulated exercises; and
- (vi) facilitating relationships with any local healthcare coalition, public health agency, and other relevant agency before, during, and after an emergency.
- (2) The office shall coordinate with each local ombudsman entity to determine any capacity limitation and supports needed to plan and prepare for an emergency in each service area.
