1. (1)(a) The office and each local ombudsman entity shall develop a plan to assist each resident of a long-term care facility in the event of an emergency.

   1. (b) The plan shall include:

      1. (i) coordinating activities and developing emergency preparedness plans relevant to a particular service area;
      2. (ii) information sharing;
      3. (iii) resource sharing;
      4. (iv) training;
      5. (v) participating in simulated exercises; and
      6. (vi) facilitating relationships with any local healthcare coalition, public health agency, and other relevant agency before, during, and after an emergency.
2. (2) The office shall coordinate with each local ombudsman entity to determine any capacity limitation and supports needed to plan and prepare for an emergency in each service area.
