- (1) The DHHS IRB has the authority to set the timeframe for ongoing review of research. The timeframe will be no greater than twelve months from the date of approval.
- (2) The researcher is responsible to submit the ongoing review request form 60 days prior to the DHHS IRB approval expiration date.
- (3) The researcher cannot continue with any research activities past the approval expiration date unless renewal is granted as the result of an ongoing review, in which case a new expiration date will be given.
- (4) Data collected after expiration of DHHS IRB approval may be required to be destroyed.
