- (1) If the researcher desires to deviate from the approved research proposal, including changes in research design, procedures, or instruments, the researcher must submit an amendment request form to the DHHS IRB detailing the proposed changed to the research proposal.
- (2) The DHHS IRB will review the proposed changes and send a determination to the researcher. The researcher may not proceed with the proposed change unless final approval of the amendment is granted.
- (3) Data collected from a proposal change that was not approved by the DHHS IRB may be required to be destroyed.
