- (1) "Foundling" means a deserted or abandoned infant whose parents are unknown that is found and cared for by people other than the infant's parents.
- (2) "Hospital" means the same as defined in Subsection 80-4-501(1).
- (3) "Infant of unknown parentage" means a newborn child who has been relinquished by a parent or parents who have not identified themselves.
- (4) "Newborn child" means the same as defined in Subsection 80-4-501(2).
- (5) "Relinquished newborn child" means a newborn child that has been relinquished in compliance with the requirements of Title 80, Chapter 4, Part 5, Safe Relinquishment of a Newborn Child.
