- (1) The administrator and the medical director shall establish a quality assurance program and a quality assurance committee to review facility operations, protocols, policies and procedures, incident reports, medication usage, infection control, patient care, and safety.
(2) The quality assurance committee shall:
- (a) include a representative from the facility administration, the medical director, the director of nursing, and may also include other representatives, as appropriate;
- (b) meet at least quarterly and keep written minutes available for department review; and
- (c) report findings and concerns to the medical director, administrator, and governing authority as applicable.
