1. (1) The licensee shall ensure that at least one on-duty staff person has:

   1. (a) basic first training;
   2. (b) Heimlich maneuver training;
   3. (c) CPR training; and
   4. (d) is trained in emergency procedures to ensure that each resident receives prompt first aid as needed.

2. (2) The licensee shall ensure:

   1. (a) a first aid kit is available at a specified location in the facility; and
   2. (b) a current edition of a basic first aid manual approved by the American Red Cross, the American Medical Association, or a state or federal health agency is available at a specified location in the facility.
3. (3) The licensee shall ensure each facility has an OSHA Administration approved clean-up kit for blood-borne pathogens.
