1. (1) The licensee shall ensure that there is always one staff person on-duty who has:

   1. (a) CPR;
   2. (b) training in basic first aid;
   3. (c) training in emergency procedures to ensure each resident receives prompt first aid as needed; and
   4. (d) training in the Heimlich maneuver.

2. (2) The licensee shall ensure there is a:

   1. (a) current edition of a basic first aid manual approved by the American Red Cross, the American Medical Association, or a state or federal health agency;
   2. (b) clean-up kit for bloodborne pathogens; and
   3. (c) first aid kit available at a specified location in the facility.
