1. (1) A licensee that operates a hospital with designated swing-bed units or transitional care units shall comply with this section.

2. (2) In addition to this rule, a licensee that operates designated hospital swing-beds shall comply with:

   1. (a) Section R432-150-4, Scope of Services;
   2. (b) Section R432-150-5, Adult Day Care Services;
   3. (c) Section R432-150-10, Quality Assurance;
   4. (d) Section R432-150-11, Resident Rights;
   5. (e) Section R432-150-12, Resident Assessment;
   6. (f) Section R432-150-13, Restraint Policy;
   7. (g) Section R432-150-14, Quality of Care;

   8. (h) Section R432-150-15, Physician Services;

      1. (i) Section R432-150-16, Laboratory Services;
   9. (j) Section R432-150-17, Pharmacy Services;

   10. (k) Section R432-150-18, Recreation Therapy;

       1. (l) Section R432-150-20, Admission, Transfer, and Discharge; and
   11. (m) Section R432-150-22, Food Services.
3. (3) A transitional care unit requires licensure as a nursing care facility under a separate licensing category and the licensee shall conform to the requirements of Rule R432-150.
