1. (1) Medicaid no longer processes paper claims and providers and their clearinghouses may only submit electronic claims for payment.

2. (2) Providers who submit electronic claims in PRISM must use one of the following options:

   1. (a) an X12 electronic HIPAA claim transaction;
   2. (b) direct data entry; or
   3. (c) a web batch uploaded directly to PRISM.
