1. 1. Grandparent Certificates are valid only for the person, position, water system, and classification of water system for which they were issued;
2. 2. A Grandparent Certification that expires and is not renewed as provided in R309-300-8(9) may not be renewed and the operator will be required to apply for certification as provided in this rule; and
3. 3. No new Grandparent Certificates will be issued.

Some community and non-transient non-community water systems have operators with Grandparent Certification. Grandparent Certifications will continue to be sufficient for these operators, with the following restrictions:
