1. (1) The Superintendent shall issue a physical education endorsement or adapted physical education endorsement to a licensee that meets the requirements of this Section R277-311-4 and holds a license area of concentration in one or more of the following areas:

   1. (a) Elementary Education;
   2. (b) Secondary Education; or
   3. (c) Special Education.
2. (2) A physical education endorsement or adapted physical education endorsement shall be valid for the same term as the underlying educator license.

3. (3) The Superintendent shall issue a physical education endorsement or adapted physical education endorsement if an educator:

   1. (a)(i) completes university and professional development courses as required by the Superintendent; or

      1. (ii) demonstrates competency, as required by the Superintendent; and
   2. (b) provides proof of current first aid and CPR certification from a provider approved by the Superintendent.
4. (4) To renew a physical education endorsement or adapted physical education endorsement, an educator must provide proof of current first aid and CPR certification from a provider approved by the Superintendent.
