1. (1) In accordance with Subsection R156-17b-102(21)(c), a formal or on-the-job dispensing training program completed by a DMP designee is one that covers the following topics to the extent that the topics are relevant and current to the DMP practice where the DMP designee is employed:

   1. (a) role of the DMP designee;
   2. (b) laws affecting prescription drug dispensing;
   3. (c) pharmacology including the identification of drugs by trade and generic names, and therapeutic classifications;
   4. (d) pharmaceutical terminology, abbreviations and symbols;
   5. (e) pharmaceutical calculations;
   6. (f) drug packaging and labeling;
   7. (g) computer applications in the pharmacy;

   8. (h) sterile and non-sterile compounding;

      1. (i) medication errors and safety;
   9. (j) prescription and order entry and fill process;

   10. (k) pharmacy inventory management; and

       1. (l) pharmacy billing and reimbursement.

2. (2) Documentation demonstrating successful completion of a formal or on-the-job dispensing training program shall include the following information:

   1. (a) name of individual trained;
   2. (b) name of individual or entity that provided training;
   3. (c) list of topics covered during the training program; and
   4. (d) training completion date.
