1. (1) This rule is known as the "General Rule of the Division of Professional Licensing."
2. (2) The Division adopts this rule under the authority of Subsection 58-1-106(1)(a) to enable the Division to administer Title 58, Occupations and Professions.

3. (3)(a) The rules and sections in Title R156 shall, to the extent practicable, follow the numbering and organization of the chapters in Title 58, Occupations and Professions.

   1. (b) This Rule R156-1 has general provisions for the administration and enforcement of professions regulated in Title 58, Occupations and Professions.
   2. (c) Rule R156-46b is the Division's Utah Administrative Procedures Act Rule for Division adjudicative proceedings.
   3. (d) The other rules in Title R156 have specific or unique provisions for specific Division professions or programs, which may supplement or alter Rule R156-1 unless expressly provided otherwise in Rule R156-1.
