Section, act Mar. 3, 1899, ch. 424, § 1, 30 Stat. 1085, which required that the salaries of officers and employees paid from appropriations under the Smithsonian Institution be reported to Congress annually, terminated, effective , pursuant to section 3003 of Pub.
