1. (a) All employees may participate in the sick leave pool program.
2. (b) An employee with a catastrophic illness or injury is not required to contribute to the pool before he or she may apply for pool leave.
3. (c) An employee who has previously contributed to the pool and does not suffer a catastrophic illness or injury may apply to use sick leave from the sick leave pool as specified in §4.55 of this title (relating to Contribution Returns).
