1. (a) A driver involved in a motor vehicle crash that is not investigated by law enforcement is required to submit a driver's crash report within 10 days of the date of the crash on a form prescribed by the department if the crash resulted in:

   1. (1) injury to or the death of a person; or
   2. (2) $1000 or more of property damage to the property of any one person.
2. (b) The form is available through the department website at www.txdot.gov.
