The following words and terms, when used in this subchapter shall have the following meanings, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise.

1. (1) "Codes" means the International Energy Conservation Code and the International Residential Code.
2. (2) "International Energy Conservation Code" means the International Energy Conservation Code as developed, maintained and promulgated by the International Code Council.
3. (3) "International Residential Code" means the International Residential Code for One- and Two-Family Dwellings as developed, maintained and promulgated by the International Code Council.
4. (4) "Laboratory" means the Energy Systems Laboratory at the Texas Engineering Experiment Station of The Texas A&M University System.
