To qualify for a license under the Insurance Code, Article 21.14-1, a person must:
- (1) be at least 18 years of age;
- (2) maintain a place of business in this state;
- (3) be a trustworthy and competent person;
- (4) meet the application requirements required by the Insurance Code, Article 21.14-1, and the rules of the board;
- (5) take and pass the licensing examination; and
- (6) pay the licensing and examination fees.
