The resident has the right to privacy in written communications, including the right to:

1. (1) send and receive mail promptly that is unopened;
2. (2) request facility staff to help open and read incoming mail and help address and post outgoing mail;
3. (3) have access to stationery, postage, and writing implements at the resident's own expense.
