1. (a) A registrant may receive a one-year extension to meet certification requirements by:

   1. (1) submitting a completed form approved by the department;
   2. (2) paying the applicable fee; and
   3. (3) submitting supporting documentation deemed appropriate by the department for extension under Texas Occupations Code, §1151.160(g).
2. (b) The extension will begin on the day after the original deadline for certification, regardless of when the extension is requested or on the discretion of the department.
