1. (a) "Supplies" is defined as consumable items directly related to the day-to-day operation of the grant program. Allowable items include, but are not limited to, office and laboratory supplies, paper, postage, and other general items.
2. (b) "Direct operating expenses" is defined as those costs not included in other budget categories and which are directly related to the day-to-day operation of the grant project.
