1. (a) Data Governance Program - the program established pursuant to the requirements of Texas Government Code § 2054.137(b)(2).
2. (b) Data Management Officer - the full-time employee designated by the state agency or institution of higher education to fulfill the statutory duties required by Texas Government Code § 2054.137(b). A state agency or institution of higher education is only required to designate such an employee to the extent that it meets the statutory requirement to do so.
3. (c) Data Maturity Assessment - the assessment of an agency's data governance program required by Texas Government Code § 2054.137(b)(2) that is conducted by the designated data management officer.
