The authority consists of the territory included in the boundaries of County Commissioners Precincts 1 and 2 of Jasper County, as those boundaries existed on June 22, 1955. The authority's territory may have been modified under:

1. (1) Subchapter O, Chapter 51, Water Code;
2. (2) Subchapter J, Chapter 49, Water Code; or
3. (3) other law.
