At least 10 days before the date set for the election, notice of the election must be published one time in a newspaper of general circulation in the district. In addition to the requirements of Section 4.004, Election Code, notice of the annexation election must:

1. (1) state the conditions under which the territory may be annexed; or
2. (2) refer to the resolution of the board for that purpose.
