Unless the board by resolution increases the fee to an amount authorized by Section 49.060, Water Code, each director:

1. (1) shall receive a fee for attending each meeting of the board not to exceed $20 for a meeting or $40 in one calendar month; and
2. (2) is entitled to an additional amount not to exceed $20 for each day that the director devotes to serving the business of the authority if the service is expressly approved by the board.
