A person is not required to hold a certificate issued under this chapter to perform a radiologic procedure in a hospital if:

1. (1) the hospital participates in the federal Medicare program or is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals; and
2. (2) the person has completed a training program approved by the advisory board under Section 601.201.
