- (a) The department may, on application and payment of the appropriate fee, issue a license to a person who is licensed or certified by another state as a chemical dependency counselor if the department determines that the license or certificate requirements of that state are substantially equivalent to the requirements of this chapter.
- (b) The department may waive any license requirement for an applicant with a license or certificate issued by another state with which this state has a reciprocity agreement.
