1. (a) A person who violates this chapter commits an offense. An offense under this section is a misdemeanor punishable by:

   1. (1) on conviction of a first offense, a fine of $100;
   2. (2) on conviction of a second offense, a fine of $500; and

   3. (3) on conviction of a third offense:

      1. (A) a fine of $1,000; or
      2. (B) revocation of the person's license to practice the healing art.
2. (b) On conviction of the person, the district court shall notify the licensing board that issued the license.
