Tex. Occ. Code § 2309.003 – Applicability of Chapter to Metal Recyclers

(a) Except as provided by Subsection (b), this chapter does not apply to a transaction to which a metal recycler is a party.
(b) This chapter applies to a transaction in which a motor vehicle:
1. (1) is sold, transferred, released, or delivered to a metal recycler as a source of used automotive parts; and
2. (2) is used as a source of used automotive parts.
