1. (a) The department shall make available to the public through a toll-free telephone number, Internet website, or other easily accessible medium determined by the department the following information relating to a disciplinary action taken during the preceding three years regarding a person regulated under this chapter:

   1. (1) the identity of the person;
   2. (2) the nature of the complaint that was the basis of the disciplinary action taken against the person; and
   3. (3) the disciplinary action taken by the commission.
2. (b) In providing the information, the department shall present the information in an impartial manner, use language that is commonly understood, and, if possible, avoid jargon specific to the security industry.
3. (c) The department shall update the information on a monthly basis.
4. (d) The department shall maintain the confidentiality of information regarding the identification of a complainant.
