1. (a) The fee for "Real Property Records Filing" under Section 118.011 is for filing and recording, including indexing, in the real property records in the office of the county clerk a document that is authorized or required to be filed in those records.
2. (b) A county clerk who files, registers, or records an instrument by manual copying instead of copying by photocopy, photostating, or microphotographic process may substitute for the prescribed page fee a fee of 20 cents per 100 words for each page having more than 500 words.

3. (c) The fee does not apply to:

   1. (1) map records;
   2. (2) condominium records;
   3. (3) notary public records;
   4. (4) marriage records;
   5. (5) vital statistics records;
   6. (6) documents filed in the records of county civil or criminal courts or probate courts; or
   7. (7) personal property, chattels, and personal records in the office of the county clerk.
4. (d) The fee is in addition to any other specific fee provided for by other statute.
