- (a) An officer of the municipality that created the district or the head of a department of that municipality may, with the consent of the governing body of the municipality, apply to the board for funding of a program described by Section 344.151.
- (b) The officer must apply under this section not later than the 140th day before the date the fiscal year begins, unless the board by rule has adopted an exception.
- (c) The board by rule may adopt application procedures.
