1. (a) A written or oral communication made to a credentialing committee, or a record or proceeding of the committee, may be disclosed to an appropriate:

   1. (1) state or federal agency, including a state board of registration or licensing;
   2. (2) national accreditation body; or
   3. (3) medical peer review committee.
2. (b) A disclosure under this section is not a waiver of the confidential and privileged nature of the information.
