The department may require periodic reports by large employer health benefit plan issuers and agents regarding the large employer health benefit plans issued by those issuers. The reporting requirements must:

1. (1) require information regarding the number of plans in various categories that are marketed or issued to large employers; and
2. (2) comply with federal law, including regulations.
