The following actions by an insurer do not operate as a waiver of the insurer's rights in defense of a claim that arises under an individual accident and health insurance policy:

1. (1) acknowledgment of the receipt of notice given under the policy;
2. (2) provision of a form for filing a proof of loss;
3. (3) acceptance of a proof of loss; or
4. (4) investigation of a claim under the policy.
