Offense

  1. (a) A person commits an offense if the person:

    1. (1) intentionally, knowingly, recklessly, or negligently engages in the operation of an insurance premium finance company and does not hold a license issued under this chapter;
    2. (2) intentionally, knowingly, recklessly, or negligently violates this chapter;
    3. (3) intentionally or knowingly omits to state a material fact necessary to give the commissioner or the department information lawfully required of the person; or
    4. (4) refuses to permit an investigation or examination authorized under this chapter.
  2. (b) An offense under this section is a Class B misdemeanor.
