1. (a) This chapter applies to insurance written through the Texas Mutual Insurance Company only as provided by this section.
2. (b) This chapter applies to the Texas Mutual Insurance Company on a prospective basis on and after January 1, 2000. The Texas Mutual Insurance Company is only liable for assessments for a claim with a date of injury that occurs on or after January 1, 2000. The association, with respect to an insolvency of the Texas Mutual Insurance Company, is only liable for a claim with a date of injury that occurs on or after January 1, 2000.
