1. (a) The state fire marshal may suspend, revoke, or refuse to issue or renew a registration certificate, license, or permit if, after notice and hearing, the state fire marshal finds that the applicant, registrant, license holder, or permit holder has engaged in acts that:

   1. (1) violate this chapter;
   2. (2) violate rules or standards adopted under this chapter; or

   3. (3) constitute misrepresentation made in connection with:

      1. (A) the sale of products; or
      2. (B) services rendered.
2. (b) Subject to Section 6001.253, the commissioner may suspend, revoke, or refuse to issue or renew a certificate, license, permit, or approval.
