1. (a) Grants awarded under this chapter for a facility to provide alternative fuels other than natural gas may not exceed the lesser of:

   1. (1) 50 percent of the sum of the actual eligible costs incurred by the grant recipient within deadlines established by the commission; or
   2. (2) $600,000.

2. (b) Grants awarded under this chapter for a facility to provide natural gas may not exceed:

   1. (1) $400,000 for a compressed natural gas facility;
   2. (2) $400,000 for a liquefied natural gas facility; or
   3. (3) $600,000 for a facility providing both liquefied and compressed natural gas.
