- (a) The governing body of the municipality may not issue bonds under this subchapter unless the issuance is authorized by a majority of the qualified voters of the municipality voting at an election held for that purpose.
- (b) The governing body shall hold the election, to the extent practicable, in compliance with Chapter 1251.
