In this subtitle:

1. (1) "Endorsing county" means an endorsing county for purposes of Chapter 477, 478, 479, or 480.
2. (2) "Endorsing municipality" means an endorsing municipality for purposes of Chapter 476, 477, 478, 479, or 480.
3. (3) "Event" means a game or an event as defined by Chapter 478, 479, or 480.

4. (4) "Games" means any of the following and includes the events and activities related to the following:

   1. (A) the College Football Playoff games;
   2. (B) the Major League Baseball All-Star Game;
   3. (C) the National Basketball Association All-Star Game;
   4. (D) the National Collegiate Athletic Association Final Four;
   5. (E) the National Hockey League All-Star Game;
   6. (F) the Olympic Games;
   7. (G) the Pan American Games;
   8. (H) the Super Bowl;
   9. (I) the World Cup Soccer Games; or
   10. (J) the World Games.
5. (5) "Games support contract" means a joinder undertaking, a joinder agreement, or a similar contract executed by the office and containing terms permitted or required by this subtitle.

6. (6) "Joinder agreement" means an agreement:

   1. (A) entered into by the office on behalf of this state and a site selection organization setting out representations and assurances by this state in connection with the selection of a site in this state for a game or event; or
   2. (B) entered into by a local organizing committee, an endorsing municipality, or an endorsing county, or more than one local organizing committee, endorsing municipality, or endorsing county acting collectively, and a site selection organization setting out representations and assurances by each local organizing committee, endorsing municipality, or endorsing county in connection with the selection of a site in this state for a game or event.

7. (7) "Joinder undertaking" means an agreement:

   1. (A) entered into by the office on behalf of this state and a site selection organization that this state will execute a joinder agreement if the site selection organization selects a site in this state for a game or event; or
   2. (B) entered into by a local organizing committee, an endorsing municipality, or an endorsing county, or more than one local organizing committee, endorsing municipality, or endorsing county acting collectively, and a site selection organization that each local organizing committee, endorsing municipality, or endorsing county will execute a joinder agreement if the site selection organization selects a site in this state for a game or event.

8. (8) "Local organizing committee" means a nonprofit corporation or the corporation's successor in interest that:

   1. (A) is authorized by an endorsing municipality, endorsing county, or more than one endorsing municipality or county acting collectively to pursue an application and bid on the applicant's behalf to a site selection organization for selection as the site of a game or event; or
   2. (B) with authorization from an endorsing municipality, endorsing county, or more than one endorsing municipality or county acting collectively, executes an agreement with a site selection organization regarding a bid to host a game or event.
9. (9) "Office" means the Texas Economic Development and Tourism Office within the office of the governor.
10. (10) "Site selection organization" means a site selection organization as defined by Chapters 477, 478, and 480.
